Started
training in 1975 at Oxford School of Tae Kwon-Do. Instructor
Mr Ted Hopwood, 4th Degree Black Belt with the UKTA
Went on to take First Degree Black Belt at The Glasgow Tae Kwon-Do
Academy; 29 September 1979. Second Dan followed on 13 December
1981
During
1983 a group of the most senior instructors became so disillusioned
with the TaeKwon-Do situation that they joined forces to form The
TaeKwon-Do Associated of Great Britain. The TAGB contains some of
the world's top Tae Kwon-Do performers, with several World, European
and British champions

Achieved Third Degree Black Belt under the TAGB. The Chief Grading
Examiner at the time was Master Hee II Cho, VII Degree. In 1990
on went on to achieve Fourth Degree Black Belt under Master Hee
II Cho
1990
Having succeeded in the requisite examination was granted recognition
as an Instructor Class B 21/10/1990
1990
Martial Arts Commission Coaching Award 21/10/1990. Recognised
by the Sports Council. Member of the Central Council of Physical
Education
1992
Granted recognition as an Umpire by the Tae Kwon Association
of Great Britain. No: A107
1993
Nominated as T.A.G.B. Instructor of the Year
1994
International Umpire recognised by the Tae Kwon Do International,
President Mr D Oliver Sixth Degree
1994
Granted recognition as a International Referee by the Tae Kwon-Do
Association of Great Britain International Class B. Chairman Mr
D. Oliver. Vice Chairman Mr.M.Dew 9/10/1994
